I set a Lone Mountain turquoise in sterling silver, its robin’s egg blue vivid, its webbing even—rare qualities for a stone valued second only to Lander Blue. I chose it for its enduring color and natural hardness, knowing it would hold its beauty over time.

I forged the band from thick, twisted wire and hand-stamped the bezel from sterling sheet. Each mark, each twist, was deliberate—crafted to honor the turquoise it holds.

Artist Inspiration

I crafted this ring to be bold—a pinky ring with weight and presence, built to endure, much like the stone at its heart.

The Lone Mountain turquoise, with its vivid robin’s egg blue and even webbing, is a rare find, valued second only to Lander Blue. This gem forms over millennia in the arid terrains near Tonopah, Nevada, where copper-rich waters seep through host rocks, depositing turquoise in veins and crevices. Its natural hardness and enduring color make it both striking and timeless.

I forged the band from thick, twisted wire, and hand-stamped the bezel from sterling sheet. The turquoise rests in a cradle of scalloped wire, symbolizing its emergence from the earth's embrace, much like a gem nestled in the hillside. Each mark, each twist, is deliberate—crafted by hand to honor the stone it holds.
