Kingman Turquoise & Spiny Oyster Mosaic Silver Pins

I cut each layer by hand—five in total—sawing, shaping, refining. The silver stacks clean, edges aligned, weight balanced. A composite inlay of turquoise, spiny oyster, and copper-infused epoxy rests at the center, its colors pressed together like sediment, held in place by the metal’s strength.

The process is unforgiving. Each layer must be complete before the next is added, every joint fused without flaw. Too much heat, and it all collapses. Too little, and it will never hold. There is no rushing it.

Artist Vision
I built these pins to push the limits of control. To work with this much silver is to test patience, precision, and restraint. The result is deliberate—substantial yet quiet, refined yet intricate. A piece for those who understand the weight of craftsmanship.
